Corporate Finance Officer

Why this role matters 

Offshore wind is a complex, uncertain and expensive industry. From bidding, through construction, installation and operation, costs are in the $billions over multiple years and require many strategic partnerships across a dynamic geopolitical and environmental landscape. There are complex financial structures in place that need to be carefully managed with both cash and financial reporting implications across multiple entities. The Corporate Controlling team are essential for ensuring these positions are clearly understood, optimised and carefully managed.

In this role you will: 

• Provide oversight and control of the Corporate entities of JERA Nex bp

• Report the Group financial performance versus Budget to JNBP leadership and shareholders

• Manage the short-term cash position of JNBP Corporate entities, ensuring the Group maximises the return on its cash balances

• Work in very close cooperation with the project and business controllers

• Manage the intercompany transactions across JNBP, ensuring they are accurate and in accordance with the Transfer pricing policy

• Work to continuously improve the data, workflows and control environment of SAP S4/HANA and the Corporate entities

• Work with Accounting to achieve an accurate financial close each period for Corporate entities

• Act as a subject matter expert on Group Consolidation for the rollout of Anaplan across Finance

• Ad hoc project and modelling activity in support of the business

To be successful in the role you will bring: 

·       A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) or a Master’s degree in Finance

·       More than 10 years’ experience of working in a Financial Control environment

• Experience of working with SAP S4/HANA in a multi-currency & multi-geography organisation

• Ability to think holistically about the business control environment, whilst also being hands-on and involved in the details as necessary.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data.

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

• An ability to understand and simplify complex procedures

• Advanced user of MS Office

• Good team working skills and an ability to work autonomously

• Fluent spoken and written English. Dutch, French and/or Japanese is an asset

• This role will be based in Leuven, Belgium
